Domaine de La Bénisson-Dieu

Everything is connected

Our adventure in wine began with a change of life. We wanted to live a life closer to nature, more respectful of Creation and more fraternal. Pope Francis's encyclical, ‘Laudato si', was our roadmap. In the summer of 2019, it led us to join the Christian Eco-hamlet of La Bénisson-Dieu, where a number of families living in the village of La Bénisson-Dieu have committed to the same project as us.

We have chosen wine as the entry point for our partnership with the land, the fruit of the vine and the work of human hands, and for this reason, we have settled a few kilometres away, in Ambierle, a terrain set against the Monts de la Madeleine. A welcoming landscape, where expanses of vineyards alternate between forests, Charolais pastures and magnificent villages.

We have our winery and our home there, until the time comes to settle in La Bénisson-Dieu. Our vineyards will always remain here, at an altitude of 400 m, rooted in the splendid granite soil of the Côte Roannaise; they are the heart of our 2.6 ha organically run estate, planted with Gamay Saint-Romain and Chardonnay.
