A white wine born from a blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette, two grape varieties from the South, where the Mistral blows.

With a golden hue, the wine offers an elegant nose with notes of yellow fruit and lemon. The palate is characterized by great savoriness, with a broad and generous mid-palate, and a mineral finish.

The name of the cuvée pays tribute to Jean-Marie Odin, born in Ambierle in 1800. A young Lazarist missionary sent to the United States, he became the first bishop of Galveston, now Houston-Galveston. Naming this cuvée “Mgr Jean-Marie Odin” is our way of honoring his memory and recalling this beautiful history of the French roots of American Catholicism.

Grape varieties & terroir

Grenache Blanc: sandy-loam terroir, 25-year-old vines, yield of 35 hl/ha.
Clairette: sandy-loam terroir, 20-year-old vines, controlled yield of 30 hl/ha.

Grapes sourced from an organically farmed estate at the foot of Mont Ventoux.

Winemaking & ageing

Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete eggs for the Clairette and in fiberglass tanks for the Grenache Blanc.

Aged for 12 months in seasoned barrels, followed by blending of the two wines one month before bottling. The wine is neither fined nor filtered, which may result in slight cloudiness. Lightly sulfited at bottling (20 mg/L). Bottled by us. Natural cork stopper coated with beeswax.

12.5% vol. Organic wine certified by FR-BIO-01 (Ecocert – Agriculture France). Vin Méthode Nature.
